PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS – POLICIES

Bandwagon Music & Repair is committed to maintaining a creative and educational environment for both its students and its staff. In order to do this, it is important that all students and parents understand and abide by the studio policies outlined below.

Registration

Bandwagon Music & Repair accepts music students of all ages and levels, year-round, based on availability. New students can register online at our website, www.bandwagonmusicandrepair.com/lessons, by phone (615) 721-BAND, or in person at the store. Students may discontinue lessons at any time with a minimum notice of two lessons.

Cost

The monthly flat rate for one half hour lesson each week is $140, with most months averaging four weeks. This guarantees your reserved time with your teacher every week. It is a commitment from both parties to be there and be actively involved in your music education.

Payments

Lesson payments are taken on the 1st of the month for that month. Invoices are automatically generated and charged at that time. Any remaining balance must be paid in full before the first lesson of the month. All students must have an active credit/debit card on file. (You may opt out of the automatic payment, but the balance is still due before the first lesson of the month.)

Cancellation

We ask that you let us or your lessons teacher know in advance that you will not be able to be at the lessons is highly encouraged. For any lessons that are missed you will receive that missed lesson on the 5th week of a 5 week month.

Holidays

Bandwagon Music & Repair does not follow any specific school schedules, but will be closed on the following holidays and therefore will not offer lessons any of these days:

Memorial Day

4th of July

Labor Day

Thanksgiving Day

Christmas Day*

New Year’s Day*

*lessons do not run the week between Christmas and New Years

Summer Lessons

Consistency is very important, so students are highly encouraged to continue their study through the summer months to maintain and increase their proficiency. Therefore, lessons continue as usual throughout the summer months. However, it’s understood that schedules are more fluid when students are out of school, so there is more flexibility in the scheduling. Teachers often have more or different time slots and can accommodate a change in schedule, and billing can be prorated if vacations/camps/etc are communicated before invoicing on the first of the month. Summer is also a great time to try out something new or enhance a skill with one of our summer workshops!

Weather Policy

Because Bandwagon Music & Repair works with students in many different county, city, public, private and homeschools, there is not one school system followed in regards to weather cancellations. If snow, storms, or other acts of God threaten lessons for the day, please check Facebook (www.facebook.com/bandwagonmusicandrepair) or our website. Decisions will be made by noon on that day.

Quotation Marks

Our family has been overwhelmingly pleased with the service and staff of Bandwagon Music. We have been taking private violin lessons for the past six months and have found the prices affordable and schedule flexible. They have been able to supply us with all of our needs and their selection continues to grow.
