Our teachers aren’t just talented musicians—they’re mentors who care. With years of experience in performing and teaching, they know how to connect with students of all ages and skill levels. At Bandwagon, lessons are a team effort: student, teacher, and store working together to inspire growth and a lifelong love of music.

Lessons Policies

Bandwagon Music & Repair is committed to maintaining a creative and educational environment for both its students and its staff. In order to do this, it is important that all students and parents understand and abide by the studio policies outlined below.

Please let us or your teacher know as soon as possible. Lessons canceled within 24 hours or no-shows can’t be refunded or rescheduled. If you know in advance, sometimes we can arrange a make-up if the teacher has availability. Online lessons are also an option if you can’t attend in person.

The monthly flat rate for one half-hour lesson each week is $140, with most months averaging four weeks. This guarantees your reserved time with your teacher every week. It is a commitment from both parties to be there and be actively involved in your music education. Lesson payments are taken on the 1st of the month for that month. Invoices are automatically generated and charged at that time. Any remaining balance must be paid in full before the first lesson of the month. All students must have an active credit/debit card on file.

Students may discontinue lessons at any time with a minimum notice of two lessons. Students who wish to take a break from lessons may do so for any amount of time, but Bandwagon can only hold a timeslot for one month. After one month either billing resumes, or the student’s day/time is forfeited.

Because Bandwagon Music & Repair works with students in many different counties, cities, public, private, and homeschools, there is not one school system followed in regard to weather cancellations. If snow, storms, or other acts of God threaten lessons for the day, please check Facebook (www.facebook.com/bandwagonmusicandrepair) or our website. Decisions will be made by noon on that day.

Consistency is very important, so students are highly encouraged to continue their studies through the summer months to maintain and increase their proficiency. Therefore, lessons continue as usual throughout the summer months. However, it’s understood that schedules are more fluid when students are out of school, so there is more flexibility in the scheduling. Teachers often have more or different time slots and can accommodate a change in schedule, and billing can be prorated if vacations/camps/etc are communicated before invoicing on the first of the month. Summer is also a great time to try out something new or enhance a skill with one of our summer workshops!

Bandwagon Music & Repair does not follow any specific school schedules, but will be closed on the following holidays and therefore will not offer lessons any of these days:

Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Black Friday, Christmas Day*, New Year’s Day*

* Lessons do not run the week between Christmas and New Years
